The organizers of Christmas at The Playhouse will hold an open audition for extras on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Local performers are encouraged to drop by The Playhouse's Stage Door and should be prepared to sing a Christmas song unaccompanied. Auditions will take place on a first-come, first-served basis and producers will audition extras until they find as many as they need to complete their casting.

Playhouse veteran Caleb Marshall will direct this year's edition of the popular holiday show with associate director Tania Breen. Composer Michael Doherty will arrange the production's music.

The theme of this year's production involves a fun look at the holiday's theatrical traditions. The production will run from Dec. 18-21, and rehearsals will begin on Sunday, Oct. 19, and become more frequent closer to Christmas.

For more information please contact Amani, who is The Playhouse's education and outreach co-ordinator at 459-6212 or by e-mail at amani@theplayhouse.ca.
