The boil order issued Oct. 3 in Doaktown has been lifted for the municipality's north side.

Doaktown Mayor Charles Stewart said the village was placed on the boil order by the Department of Health as a precautionary measure after a power failure knocked out the water chlorination system.

The order affected more than 350 people.

Stewart said the village plans to have backup generators in place within a month to make sure the problem doesn't happen again.
