Whisco gets environmental award

Whisco Ltd. has been honoured with the Mayor's Environmental Award for providing the city with environmentally friendly cleaning products.

It developed a mandate to become more environmentally responsible.

"To accomplish this goal, Whisco reviewed their products and procedures and made a conscious effort to become the local experts concerning certified green products," Mayor Brad Woodside said.

"Whisco now provides a complete line of products and services that are certified green or recommended as green initiatives."

Woodside said that by working with customers, Whisco is developing a better sense of environmental responsibility that will help Fredericton reach its green goals.

This is the third monthly award handed out. The first went to Dana's Collision Service. February's went to The Daily Gleaner.
