
Pediatricians warn exotic pets not for youngsters

HANDLE WITH CARE: A hedgehog curls up in the hands of its owner at an exhibit in Anchorage, Alaska. Hedgehogs can be dangerous for young children because their quills can penetrate skin and have been known to spread a bacteria germ that can cause fever, stomach pain and a rash.
