Serena Williams of the United States holds the trophy after winning the singles final against Venus Williams of the United States at the WTA Tennis Championships, in Doha, Qatar. With the win, Serena earned $1.55M, giving her earnings of $6.5M for the season and topping the previous record of $5.5M.
