Submissions to Religion Digest must be received by Monday noon for publication on Thursday. Items can be e-mailed to the editor, Forrest Orser, at religion@dailygleaner.com, or mailed to The Daily Gleaner, P.O. Box 3370, Fredericton, N.B., E3B-5A2, or dropped off in written form at the office on Prospect Street. Include your name and a telephone contact number. Each item will be run once. Items should not be longer than 50 words.

Blueberry supper at St. Andrews United

St. Andrews United Church, 2350 Route No. 3 Harvey Station, will hold its annual blueberry supper on Aug. 23 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The menu will include baked ham, beans, potato salad, blueberry pie and layer cakes

Drive-in movie at Faith Baptist

A special end-of-summer drive-in movie, The Awesome Forces of God's Creation, will be shown Sunday, Aug. 24, at 8:30 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in New Maryland. This is a Moody Science Presentation. For more information call 459-7741.

The Unitarian Fellowship

Tony Fitzgerald will be presenting on The Lucifer Effect, by Philip Zimbardo, understanding how good people turn evil. It will take place at the Unitarian Fellowship, 874 York St. at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24. Fair Trade coffee will be served. For more information visit www.uff.ca

Sunday service at Kings Landing

This Sunday, Aug. 24, at Kings Landing Historical Settlement, Rev. Chris Hayes will lead a service at St. Mark's Chapel of Ease at 3 p.m.

Lower Durham Memorial service

The Lower Durham Memorial Church annual church service and sing-a-long will be held Aug. 24, at 2:30 p.m. Fellowship and refreshments to follow.

Concert at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan

Gordon Jensen will present a concert on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church. He is often featured on the Bill Gaither Hour, A free-will offering will be taken.

Open house at All Saints Church Hall

Michael and Sheila O'Hara will soon be leaving for Toronto, where Michael will begin theological studies at Wycliffe College in September. To encourage them there will be an open house at All Saints Church Hall, Marysville, on Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For information, please call Marilyn Lyons at 472-7172.

Summer Music at St. Dunstan's series

The final concert in the Summer Music at St. Dunstan's series, on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m., will feature soprano Kathrin Welte and pianist Dianne Roxborough Brown. A free-will offering will be taken. Proceeds go toward the piano maintenance fund at St. Dunstan's Parish

AWANA begins Sept. 9

AWANA begins at the New Maryland Baptist Church, 505 Phillips Rd. in Nasonworth on Sept. 9, at 6:15 p.m. There will be clubs for ages three and four, Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, and middle school. For more information call the church office at 459-5900 or 450-9455 and leave a message.
