Scout Shop

Helen Craig, manager of the Rivorton Scout Shop, has announced that the Scout Shop is open for the new Scouting year. The shop will be open every Monday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a full line of uniforms and Scouting books and badges. The Rivorton Scout Shop is located at 114 School St. in Fredericton, opposite the Devon Middle School.

Flags?

Helen Craig is looking for a Fredericton District flag as well as a world flag, both of which may be hiding in someone's Scout closet. They are needed for the collection at the Scout office. Please check your meeting place, closet, etc. for these flags or any flags you are no longer using; we have a spot for them in the archives at the Scout office.

3rd Fredericton Cubs

3rd Fredericton Cubs are linking with a group of Cubs in England. Since Baloo was going home to England, a bag of goodies, including some Fredericton and N.B. pins, was sent with him. We are also doing a web cam link - isn't technology great! As part of this link the Cubs were asked to write a letter to send.

Chief Scout/Queen Venturer Awards

The annual awards ceremony of N.B. Council, Scouts Canada is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, at the N.B. Legislature and an invitation to Chief Commissioner Steve Kent to participate has been accepted. The date was chosen in co-operation with the offices of the lieutenant-governor and the N.B. Legislature. Because a new lieutenant-governor has been appointed, it may be necessary to change the date.
