The Activities for 50-Plus calendar is a weekly listing of non-commercial events in the community. To have your announcement of 50 words or less published in the Activities for 50-Plus calendar, please send in your information at least 10 days prior to publication date. Bridge luncheon
A bridge luncheon will be held at the Capital Winter Club, 232 Rookwood Ave., on Monday, Nov. 16 at 12 noon. Cost is $40/table. Call 452-0020 to book.
Come enjoy a delicious lunch, some laughs with friends and hopefully a slam or two. (Don't forget your cards). Everyone welcome.
YMCA computer courses
YMCA will be offering a course in Microsoft Word 2007. Course will run Nov. 24-27, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., cost of $80 HST.

Pilot program
UNB Campus Recreation presents Body and Bones, a five-week fitness program designed specifically for those who have shown signs of osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, or significant loss in bone mineral density (BMD). Begins Nov. 3 and will accept 10 participants who will meet Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (8:30 a.m.) with a certified instructor.
Approval from a physician will be needed in order to participate in the class. Cost to join is $30 for campus recreation members and full-time UNB/STU students or $40 for non members. For more information contact Kevin Roy at 458-7532.
Remembering Our Military Past
The Marysville Heritage, Fredericton North Heritage and York-Sunbury Historical groups are announcing a special event, Remembering Our Military Past. It will take place on Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Marysville Heritage Centre, 11 McGloin St.
There will be a presentation by Dr. Marc Milner of the Gregg Centre, UNB.
Tea, coffee and snacks will be served. No charge.

Stepping Stone Senior Centre
The Stepping Stone Senior Centre, 15 Saunders St., is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and some evenings depending on activity.
Upcoming events
* You can visit the centre on its website at www.steppingstoneseniorcentre.com.
* Seated Tai Chi: Mondays from 2 - 2:45 p.m. beginning Nov. 9. Classes are once a week for six weeks. Cost is $30. Must be a member of Stepping Stone Senior Centre to participate.
* Modified Tai Chi: Once a week for six weeks on Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. beginning Nov. 7. Cost is $40. Must be a member of Stepping Stone Senior Centre to participate.
* Art lessons: Paint with watercolour. The six-week lessons begin on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Cost is $25.
* The Christmas Storm: Theatre production by the SSSC Theatre Groups on Friday, Nov. 27 and Saturday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. Tickets available now only $5. Call the centre for more information.

* Wednesday, Nov. 4: Line dancing begins at 9:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. (four different levels). The French Circle begins at 9:30 a.m. Outreach begins at 1 p.m. The book club meets at 1 p.m. Modified Tai Chi begins at 3 p.m. Duplicate bridge is at 6:30 p.m. The Stepping Stone Forum at 2 p.m.: Remembering, with the DVD, Goodnight Mister Tom.
* Thursday, Nov. 5: GroupFit begins at 9:15 a.m. The SS Singers begin at 9:30 a.m. The craft group meets at 1 p.m. The puppet group will meet at 3 p.m.
* Friday, Nov. 6: Coffee and conversation is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Drop-in cards is at 1 p.m. The walking group meets at 1 p.m. Drop-in bridge begins at 1 p.m.
* Monday, Nov. 9: Beginner bridge lessons begin at 9:30 a.m. Play of the Hand Bridge lessons begin at 1 p.m. The writers group meets at 1:30 p.m. Seated Tai Chi begins at 2:15 p.m. In the evening there is drop-in bridge at 6:30 p.m. Beginner Japanese lessons begins at 7 p.m.
* Tuesday, Nov. 10: GroupFit begins at 9:15 a.m. The book study group meets at 10 a.m. Art lessons begin at 11 a.m. Paint with Friends begins at 1:30 p.m. Cryptic Crosswords begin at 1 p.m. The belly dancers meet at 1 p.m. The SS Troubadours meet at 2:45 p.m. Drop-in darts is at 6 p.m.
