CISV International's 2010 programs announced

The Fredericton chapter of CISV recently announced that area youth and adults will represent Canada at the following international programs: Children age 11 are invited to attend four-week camps called Villages hosted by Germany, U.S.A., and Canada; Youth age 14-15 to attend three-week summer camps hosted by Portugal and Toronto; Youth age 16-18 to attend a two-week camp hosted by Sao Paulo, Brazil; Youth age 17-18 to attend three-week seminar camps, hosted by various CISV National Associations. A small group exchange for youth age 13/14 with Modena Italy. Adults age 19 and up to attend two-week program hosted by Canada (Victoria) and Finland, where the program involves volunteer work with a partner organization.

The Fredericton chapter recently hosted 100 youth and adults from across Canada at the CISV National board meeting. At this meeting the CISV International programs for 2010 were distributed among the 12 chapters.

Since 1951 CISV has been offering a range of local activities, international camps, family-hosted exchanges and community-based projects. These programs are organized by volunteer members for youth age 11 through adulthood from over 40 countries.
