Submissions to Religion Digest must be received by Monday noon for publication on Thursday. Items can be e-mailed to the editor, Forrest Orser, at religion@dailygleaner.com, or mailed to The Daily Gleaner, P.O. Box 3370, Fredericton, N.B., E3B-5A2, or dropped off in written form at the office on Prospect Street. Include your name and a telephone contact number. Each item will be run once. Items should not be longer than 50 words.
Healing service
The regular monthly Order of St. Luke healing service will be held at St Margaret's Anglican Church, 775 Forest Hill Rd. on Sunday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. Holy Communion, laying on of hands and anointing with oil for healing. All welcome.
Luncheon bridge
A luncheon bridge will be held at St. Mary's Anglican Church on McEvoy Street on Monday, July 7, at 12 noon. Please call Bettie-Anne Boulter at 472-4224 or Shirley Hovey at 474-0022 or 366-3253. Cost is $40 per table.
Garden tour, strawberry social
A garden tour and strawberry social presented by Nashwaaksis United Church will be held on Tuesday, July 8. The tour gets underway at 6:30 p.m. and is followed by a strawberry social at the church, located at 46 Main St. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling Linda at 458-9452. Funds raised will go to the Worship Enhancement Fund.
Orange church service
The annual Orange church service for LOL No. 144 will be held in Woodlands United Church on Sunday, July 13, at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Vincent Galbraith. Everyone is invited to attend. A social time will follow in the hall. Those attending should bring a picnic lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided.
Vacation Bible school
Faith Baptist Church in New Maryland will be hold a vacation Bible school, Veggie Tales Go Bananas for God, from July 7-11, 9 a.m. till 11:45 a.m. daily, for children four through Grade 5. For more information, call 459-8756 and ask for Bob the Tomato or Larry the Cucumber.
