Baton athletes travelling to Florida for international event

Sixteen athletes from Baton Atlantik will begin competition later this week at the Twirl Mania International competition in Orlando, Florida.

The global event is slated to take place from Friday through Sunday.

The age range of the New Brunswick athletes ranges from seven-year-olds to those who are 19-years-old. They will compete in a number of individual and group events with Sophie Babineau of Grande-Digue taking part in Twirl Mania for the third time and the other members of the team for the first time.

Members of the team include Katiana Blanchard (Ste-Marie de Kent); Olivia Keith (Moncton), Brenda Arsenault LeBlanc (coach), Madeleine Blanchard (Dieppe), Sophie Babineau (Grande-Digue), Meghan Richard LeBlanc (Riverview), Clara Stanert (Cannon Station), Sophie Boomer-Searle (Sackville), Lucy Gray (Moncton), Valika Allain (Ste-Marie de Kent); Mia-Belle Gould (Dieppe), Diana Phillips (Moncton), Valérie LeBlanc (St-Antoine), Ellie Roberts (Moncton), Samara Savoie (Moncton) and Chloé Gauvin (Dieppe).
