Alanis Morissette to play Island festival

CHARLOTTETOWN - Next month's Summerset Music Festival in Prince Edward Island has landed Canadian rock icon Alanis Morissette as its headlining act.

Morissette has sold over 55 million albums worldwide, and has won seven Grammy Awards, and 12 Juno Awards.

Morissette hits the stage Sept. 13.

Additional performances include Joel Plaskett and Metric, with more announcements to come.

The festival will be presented on the waterfront hillside at Vista Bay in Alexandra, located only 10 minutes from Charlottetown.

General Admission tickets are $60 each (plus taxes and fees) and VIP Passes are $125 each (plus taxes and fees).
