GRETNA, La. - New Orleans Saints receiver Biren Ealy and tight end Kolomona Kapanui have been released from jail.
The men were arrested early Sunday morning by Jefferson Parish authorities, who booked the two players with obscenity, disturbing the peace and lewd conduct.
They allegedly were drunk, urinated in public and exposed themselves to two women in the parking lot of a suburban New Orleans apartment complex.
They had been jailed on $4,250 bonds. By Monday, their names no longer appeared on the jail's list of inmates. Ealy, 24, signed a free-agent contract with the Saints in January. Kapanui, 25, spent part of last season on the Saints' practice squad.
Jets sign pair
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - The New York Jets signed free agent defensive tackle Anthony Harris and undrafted free agent tight end Jack Simmons on Monday.
Harris is a defensive lineman with long-snapping experience who signed with Carolina before last season but was waived before training camp. He played last year for Rock River of the Continental Indoor Football League.
Simmons started for three seasons at the University of Minnesota, where he had 76 catches for 762 yards and three touchdowns in 41 games.
Jets coach Rex Ryan said he was impressed by Simmons, a tryout player, during the team's rookie minicamp last weekend. The signing gives the Jets three tight ends, including Dustin Keller and James Dearth, primarily a long snapper.
Slew of signings
METAIRIE, La. - The New Orleans Saints have signed 10 undrafted rookies to free-agent contracts.

Hill; cornerbacks Danny Gorrer and Reggie Jones; wide receiver Kenneth Harris; and defensive end Jermey Parnell. During the NFL draft on April 25-26, the Saints drafted cornerback Malcolm Jenkins, safety Chip Vaughn, linebacker Stanley Arnoux and punter Thomas Morstead.
