Bard in the Barracks
Bard in the Barracks presents Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in Odell Park, nightly today to July 4 (except June 29), at 7:30 p.m. For this site-specific production, the audience will be led on a short hike through some of the park's most beautiful settings. Fiddle camp
The fifth annual NB Fiddle camp will be held at Memorial Hall on the University of New Brunswick campus. Week one is for children aged 8-16 and will be held July 13 to July 17. Instruction in fiddle with classes in step dance, Celtic song, penny whistle and art will be offered. Week two is for adults 16 years or older and will be held July 20 to July 24. Art Concepts
The estate of Philip Iverson: the retrospective exhibit of paintings by the renowned Fredericton painter and neoexpressionist includes landscapes, portraits and abstract works.
The exhibit is complemented with sculptures by Robin Peck. Featured craft artist is Andrew Ross. Works by gallery artists Glenn Priestley, Jonathan Johnson, Deanna Musgrave and Peter Powning are also on exhibit.

Last chance to see Some Trees, capturing the essence of the forests of northern New Brunswick - monotypes by Francis Wishart, an artist of international acclaim.
Also The Bold and the Beautiful: Drawing the Myth, jewelry designed by 2006 Strathbutler Award winner Brigitte Clavette.
Both exhibitions end Sunday.

The Blue Door
An exhibit of small works can be viewed at the Blue Door Restaurant until Wednesday. Upcoming exhibit - The Emerging Artist Series, sponsored by Chris and Debbie Black, will feature a collection of landscapes and portraits by Adam Jeffrey. Fredericton Arts Alliance
Fredericton Arts Alliance Artists in Residence 2009 summer series: The series presents local professional artists and fine craftspeople for one- to two-week residencies in the Soldiers' Barracks Casemates on the corner of Carleton and Queen streets.
Saturday through July 3 features Ned Bear, mask-making; and Joanne Barfitt, smocking and needlework.

Performing at the Main Street/Nashwaaksis Commons Amphitheatre is Frank Taylor - The Flying Scotsman on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The rain date is Monday at 7 p.m.
Music at the Cathedral Recital Series
Recitals are held at Christ Church Cathedral on Fridays at 12:10 p.m. There is a freewill offering.
On June 26, Jeremy Van Slyke, piano and Becca Topp, soprano, will be performing.
On July 3, Jonathan Bayley, flute; Yvonne Kershaw, flute and bassoon; Terry Selfton, cello; and Willis Noble, organ, will be performing.

Charlotte Glencross Gallery
A double exhibition, thread paintings by Kathy Tidswell and watercolours by Joyce Ripley, is now on exhibit in the Charlotte Glencross Gallery at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre.
Nature's Thread, Tidswell's work, creates amazing scenes using stitchery as paint. Ripley's half of the exhibition, entitled Barns et cetera, explores the world in vivid watercolour.
Both exhibitions will continue until July 14.
New Brunswick
College of Craft Gallery
The New Brunswick Crafts Council Gallery will host an exhibition from July 2 to Sept. 18, featuring production line craft by leading craftspeople of New Brunswick.
The opening of Buy the Best takes place from 5-8 p.m. at the New Brunswick Crafts Council Gallery located on the main floor of the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. The opening coincides with the Downtown Fredericton Culture Crawl.

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is pleased to present a series of summer programs:
* The Art Lover's Tour is a weekly event that takes place every Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
* Artworks, a daily summer workshop for children ages 5-12, will be offering classes July 6 to Aug. 28.
* Artistica, a weekly summer camp for children of various ages (ages 5-12) will be offered from July 6 to Sept. 4.
