
Religion digest

Submissions to Religion Digest must be received by Monday noon for publication on Thursday. Items can be emailed to the editor, Forrest Orser, at religion@dailygleaner.com, or mailed to The Daily Gleaner, P.O. Box 3370, Fredericton, N.B., E3B-5A2, or dropped off in written form at the office on Prospect Street. Include your name and a telephone contact number. Each item will be run once. Items should not be longer than 50 words.
Breakfast, bazaar
All Saints' old fashioned country breakfast and bazaar will be held in the Medley Room at 150 Crock's Point Rd., Keswick Ridge, on Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be sittings at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Price is $6 per adult, $4 per child under 12, or $20 per family. For reservations call either Lois Poore at 363-4229 or Eugene Price at 363-4463. There will also be craft and baked goods tables.
Fall supper
St Dunstan's Parish fall supper will be held on Sunday, Nov. 1, with a 4 p.m. and a 6 p.m. sitting. Tickets are $10 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under and $10 for take-outs. Tickets now on sale in the parish office at the corner of Regent and Brunswick streets or call 444-6001 for more information.
Fellowship Sunday
On Sunday, Nov. 1, the service at Morning Gate Church on 74 Morning Gate Dr. will begin at 10:30 a.m.. Sunday school and nursery are available. After the service there will be a time of fellowship and a light lunch. It is also food bank Sunday.
World Day of Prayer
The Baptist Women's World Day of Prayer is being held at Marysville Baptist Church, 150 Cowperthwaite St., on Monday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m.
Concert
Faith Baptist Church in New Maryland will have a concert of praise with Shirley and Roger Pavy from Peterborough, Ont., on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. The Pavys were the 1997 winner of gospel album of the year from the Christian Gospel Music Association. Healing service
The regular monthly healing service, sponsored by the Order of St. Luke, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Margaret's Anglican Church, 775 Forest Hill Rd. Holy communion, anointing with oil and laying on of hands for healing by members of the order will take place.
Apple pie sale
St. John's Anglican Church will be making apple pies from Monday to Friday, Nov. 2-6. Pies are three for $15, or $6 each; Splenda pies, $7. Bagged and ready for the freezer. To order call 453-9475. Pies can be picked up at 46 Main St. Nashwaaksis United Church
Masquerade ball
The Salvation Army, 531 St. Mary's St., will hold a masquerade ball on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m., sponsored by Girlfriends Unlimited, a new program being launched by the Salvation Army. This is a time to enjoy fellowship with other women. The cost is $5 payable at the door and includes refreshments.
CD launch
The Salvation Army Fredericton Community Church, 531 St. Mary's St., will present an evening with Violet Paisley, a CD launch celebration, on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., with special guest appearances by Gerald Rushton, Gerry Flowers, Erdie and Julie Price, and Keith Young. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission will be a free-will offering.
