
Gamble helps Atlantic team to victory at U18 tourney

Fredericton's Anissa Gamble had a goal and two assists leading Team Atlantic to a 6-1 victory over Saskatchewan in their first game at the national women's under-18 hockey championship in Surrey, B.C.
Gamble and Shelby Lyons are the two Frederictonians on the Team Atlantic squad.
Gamble had one of two third-period goals for Team Atlantic and drew assists on goals by Jillian Saulnier of Halifax and Jenna Pitts of Antigonish.
Other goals by Team Atlantic were by Alex Normore of Bedford, N.S. and Sarah Davis of Paradise, NL. Bailey Habscheid scored late in the game to account for Saskatchewan's lone tally.
Team Atlantic takes on defending champion Ontario Red tonight at 9 p.m. AT.
