School in N.S. shuts down after fire
ANTIGONISH, N.S. - Students at a Nova Scotia school got an early start to the weekend after a fire broke out.
Officials with the Strait Regional School Board say a small motor in the technology education shop at the East Antigonish Education Centre overheated and caught fire, sending thick smoke throughout the building.
Students were evacuated to the Monsignor Donnelly Hall in Tracadie with no reports of injuries.
The fire department advised school officials not to allow students back into the building due to the heavy smoke.
