Soldiers from The Second Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment (2RCR) and 4 Engineer Support Regiment (4ESR) are continuing their pre-deployment training to Afghanistan.

From Monday until Nov. 20, soldiers from the two groups will be training in various regions of New Brunswick.

"The aim of this training is to work in urban and semi-urban setting to best replicate the complexities of the contemporary operating environment in Kandahar Province," the military said in a news release.

Training will be conducted in the Saint John area Nov. 9, 10, 18 and 19, the Sussex area Nov. 12, 13, 16 and 17 and the Woodstock area Nov. 10-11.

Signage will be displayed indicating "military exercise in progress."

Soldiers will be in full combat gear carrying weapons but no ammunition of any nature (blank or live) will be involved in the conduct of this training.

The movement of Canadian Forces personnel and vehicles shouldn't pose a significant disturbance to the communities.
