Dealership to expand

The O'Leary Pontiac Buick GMC dealership has received a variance approval from the city's planning advisory committee to add a recreational-vehicle dealership to its business ventures on Hanwell Road.

The car dealer plans to locate a sales area at 1135 Hanwell Rd., set up a mobile sales office and create space to display 48 recreational vehicles of various sizes, plus six display spaces for used cars.

Daycare applies for amendment

Business is booming at the West Hills daycare centre, so much so that after the Sunny Days Daycare Centre opened up earlier this year, it's already time to expand.

Due to the demand for childcare spaces, the centre is asking city council for an amendment to its terms and conditions to permit a preschool and after-school program for 45 more children.

The city's planning advisory committee approved the application, but the request now goes to city council for a final vote.

Rezoning requested

Skyline Building Management Ltd. has received approval from the city's planning advisory committee to rezone a portion of property on Boyne Court to develop a new 42-unit apartment building.

The zoning change will require the approval of city council.
