Fredericton's Hielke Moore defeated Felix LeBlanc of Moncton 6-3 and 6-3 in the U10 boys division at the New Brunswick Junior Closed tennis championships held Wednesday in Riverview.

One other Frederictonian, Bridget Collrin, made it to a divisional final. Collrin lost 6-1 and 6-1 to Melika LeBlanc of Moncton in the U12 girls division.

Other winners included Jacob Quinlan of Rothesay defeating Felix LeBlanc 6-1 and 6-3 in the U12 boys final. Simon Comeau of Nigadoo got past Lucas LeBlanc of Petit Rocher 6-3 and 6-2 in the U14 boys final and then defeated Marc-Andre Roy of Petit Rocher 6-3 and 6-1 in the U16 boys final.

Patrick Hache of Beresford defeated Alex Lavoie of Moncton 6-2 and 6-3 in the U18 boys final. Nathalie Murphy of Dieppe won both the U16 and U18 girls titles. She defeated Melika LeBlanc 6-3 and 7-5 in the U16 final and then upended Gabrielle Surette of Dieppe 7-6 and 6-0 in the U18 girls event.
